Mestre Mindinho started training Capoeira over 30 years ago in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After emigrating to the United States in 2001, he settled into his new home and founded the San Diego branch of Capoeira Brasil.
An amazing Capoeirista and teacher, Mestre Mindinho is a multifaceted artist who has found his life's calling in sharing his expertise with others around the world. Currently in high demand for his highly popular lectures and seminars on different aspects of Capoeira, he has been invited to teach, play, and perform in over 15 countries on 4 continents, as well as participating in multiple TV shows and marketing campaigns.
Chumbinho is originally from Sydney Australia graduated Formando level (brown cord) of Capoeira Brazil in 2012 under the direction of Mestre Peixe Ensaboado along with the supervision of 2 of Capoeira Brazils 3 founding masters Mestre Boneco & Mestre Paulao.
Chumbinho has been training Capoeira since 1994 in Sydney Australia under Mestre Peixe and has participated in many international events, workshops and performance.
After starting a small team in Sydneys Central Coast in 2000, Chumbinho then started to travel to Japan to assist in the setting up of the Capoeira Brazil school in Osaka in 2003. In 2005 Chumbinho handed over the reigns of the Central Coast branch to be able to move on to another challenge.
That challenge came in the form of relocating to Hong Kong in May 2005 specifically to start teaching Capoeira there and experiment if this artform and culture from Brazil would fit into and be accepted by a culture that already has its own long history and roots in its own style of martial arts of Kung Fu.
Since then Chumbinho and his team have been able to bring Capoeira into the lives of thousands of Hong Kong people persoanlly through workshops, performance and demonstrations and have also been able to demonstrate Capoeira to the millions of people through means of media such as television, newspapers and magazines.
Formando Chumbinho has also been involved in workshops, grading events, performance and demonstration in many major cities of China, Taiwan, Macao, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore.
Chumbinho来自澳大利亚悉尼，在Peixe Ensaboado师傅的指导和巴西战舞Capoeira Brasil流派的两位创始人Boneco和Paulao师傅的监督下，于2012年获得了巴西战舞棕色段位。
She is one of very few female black belt Capoeiristas in the world. she has dedicated 31 years of her life to Capoeira, and with the support of Group Capoeira Brasil, she was able to achieve her goals of traveling and starting a career outside of her small town, Juazeiro-Bahia, Brazil. In 1994, she moved to Rio de Janeiro where she began teaching and training to improve my techniques.
Mestra Jo has traveled the world with the objective of promoting the art and culture of Capoeira and supporting other female Capoeiristas. she also has a wide portfolio of live shows and television appearances.

Tiba Vieira started his capoeira training in Brazil with Mestre Jelon Vieira, the pioneer of capoeira in the United States. His first contact with the art was at a very young age, but he only started training when Mestre Jelon developed a capoeira program for kids in “Boca do Rio,” a neighborhood in Salvador, Bahia.
In 1997, Professor Tiba moved to the United States to continue his capoeira training under the mentoring of Mestre Jelon and to attend school.
Professor Tiba has been learning and teaching the art of capoeira for almost two decades. He currently teaches at the Ailey School and at Tisch School of the Arts, and in his spare time he teaches at after-school programs and community centers throughout New York City.
He has taught classes for children and adults from all walks of life in New York City, including the Training Academy, Saint Anthony’s School, Educational Alliance, Broadway Dance Center and the Alvin Ailey School. He has also taught at Bard College, Annadale-on-Hudson, NY; Dance Connecticut, Hartford, CT; the Cleo Parker Robinson Summer Festival, Denver, CO; Oberlin College, Oberlin, OH; Capoeira Luanda, Bandung, Indonesia; and Capoeira Luanda, Istanbul, Turkey. He has also performed regularly throughout the United States and internationally in Pusan, South Korea at the Pusan Film Festival, in Tokyo and Toronto.
