This past weekend, the Shanghai community got to know more about the fascinating mix of music, acrobatics, and spinning kicks that is capoeira.
Students, designers, and app developers played traditional instruments, chanted rhythmically in Portuguese, and showed off capoeira's graceful movements to an engaged audience at the 6th annual KTGA festival.
Speaking of engagement, performing for the students at Fortune Kindergarten was a special treat. The young ones and sing with their heart and soul inspiring everyone.
Capoeira Brasil Shanghai received a special guest this April. Professor Shock from Capoeira Brasil in Germany brought his axé to our Academy.
Professor Shock was on work assignment in Suzhou, and to his surprise, found out there was capoeira in Shanghai. Not only did he play in his first roda in China, he even taught workshops in Suzhou to people who had never experienced capoeira before! Ele tem capoeira na veia!
